Robin Haase, currently ranked number 98 in the world, is the Dutch No.1 and has won 2 single titles on the ATP Tour.
From an early age it was clear to Robin that he was destined to become a professional tennis player. From the age of 2 he started to play the game already and with 5 he had is first real tournament. From that moment he was “hooked” to play competitively. Between the age of 11 until 18, Robin worked hard to become a professional player, but made sure to finish school first. After turning pro in 2005, Robin won his first ATP title, the Bet-at-Home open in Kitzbuehel, a few years later. From the beginning of playing Futures until his first title Robin had a few physical obstacles to overcome. In 2008 he had a knee surgery that took 1,5 years to recover from and posed a career threat. However Robin did not give up and came back.
He currently holds 2 career titles in singles and booked some good results in doubles as well. Despite his fairly young age, Robin is already one of Holland’s most successful tennis player of the Open era.
